Osasuna completes last training session of the week in Tajonar

Despite controlling much of the match, Los Rojillos were unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities
Osasuna suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Racing Club at Stadium Gal on Saturday afternoon. Despite controlling much of the match, Los Rojillos were unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities. The Cantabrian side took the lead before the 30-minute mark with a goal from Izan Yurrieta. Osasuna sought to equalize but struggled to find the back of the net.
Los Rojillos dominated the first part of the match, creating several chances, primarily from the flanks. The first opportunity came when Abel Bretones fired a powerful shot from outside the box, but it sailed over the crossbar. Shortly after, Valentín Rosier had another chance when he connected with a cross from Kike Barja, but his attempt was stopped just short of crossing the goal line, keeping Osasuna from taking the lead.
Midway through the first half, Racing Club seized the advantage with a counterattack. Andrés Martín found Yurrieta in the center of the box, and after receiving the ball, Yurrieta scored to put Racing ahead.
Osasuna continued to apply pressure in search of the equalizer. Mauro Echegoyen tried his luck from outside the box after receiving a pass from Rosier, but Racing goalkeeper Jokin Ezkieta made the save. Just before halftime, Los Rojillos thought they had equalized when Raúl scored on a rebound, but the referee disallowed the goal for offside.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with Osasuna dominating possession while Racing focused on defense. Rubén García had the first clear opportunity of the half, but his attempt didn't find the net.
With 25 minutes left in the match, head coach Alessio Lisci rotated his squad by changing all 10 field players. The first of the substitutes, Víctor Muñoz, had a chance to score, but the goalkeeper parried his effort away, and the defense blocked Raúl Chasco's follow-up. A few minutes later, Muñoz attempted again with a header, but it narrowly missed the target.
Martín Pedroarena also had an opportunity when he headed a cross from Muñoz, but the ball went over the crossbar. Moi Gómez had the final chance of the match, but the goalkeeper stopped his shot.
The game concluded with Osasuna falling to Racing, despite Los Rojillos deserving more from their performance. The team will take a rest on Sunday and is scheduled to return to training on Monday in Tajonar.
